We are delighted to be working in close partnership with a highly established care provider to recruit a Unit Manager (Nurse Qualified) for a new 30 bedded unit for the elderly that is opening shortly in one of their larger homes based in South Leeds. The company are an award-winning privately-owned healthcare provider that operates over 200 care homes nationwide. The home is purpose-built and offers high quality clinical care to older adults and some whom suffer from dementia. As Unit Manager you will help assist the Home Manager with the smooth running of the care home and to ensure high standards are met and maintained. As part of the leadership team the Unit Manager (Nurse) will be responsible for acting as a subject matter expert and clinical lead for the team. You will also be the second in command in the absence of the home manager therefore it's important for the Deputy Manager to be confident in their abilities to manage a multi-disciplinary team. Please see requirements below: The ideal candidate for this position must have: • An active registration with NMC; • Be driven and motivated to provide excellent levels of care and to lead a team; • Be nurse qualified ideally RN or RMN with relevant care home experience; • Possess strong leadership qualities; • Have good knowledge of CQC standards; • Experience in admissions would be advantageous • The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families and visitors; • Promote ownership of care programmes by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programmes within the home; • Eligibility to work within the U.K Benefits: • Market Leading Salary of £18ph • Pension Scheme, Private Healthcare etc • Paid continuous development
