Job Description:
ASA Recruitment is a leading supplier of health care workers across the public and private sector who are urgently recruiting for experienced Care Assistants to work on temporary assignments in care homes and in the community in Glasgow. Candidates will be required to undertake all duties involved in the care of the elderly, including personal care, assisting residents with mobility and working as part of a team to ensure residents enjoy a high quality of care. In addition we will offer additional training which will allow you to work with medication. A positive and caring attitude and commitment to supporting residents is essential. You must have a minimum of 6 months previous experience working in a residential or nursing home environment for care of the elderly in the last 2 years. All candidates will be asked to register and fund applications to join the PVG scheme (£59) or update existing records (£18). You will also be asked to provide 2 reference contacts one of which supports your care experience. In return, we offer competitive rates of pay, starting from £7.65 to £9.53 per hour with enhanced weekend and night rates and holiday pay accrual. You will be invited to attend our mandatory Health care training courses which are offered free of charge. Shift work is based around your availability and we have hours to accommodate any schedule with various locations to suit, however we ask that you have a flexible approach to our clients needs. ASA are able to offer full time and part time opportunities and work is immediately available with us aiming to have you working within two weeks. Please apply or submit your CV to be considered
