Job Description:

The Company: They are one of the largest homebuilders in the UK, operating from 24 regional offices across England, Scotland and Wales. The Site Manager is responsible for making sure that construction is completed within agreed timelines, cost parameters, safely and to our customers' satisfaction. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills with detailed building and construction experience. We also need someone with the ability to manage people and create a strong team spirit on site. Duties: Proactively controlling site costs through identifying overspend, cost efficient use of resources, managing sub-contractor relationships and continued discussion with Construction Manager Works with Surveyors to plan preliminary costs of a site Monitors site activity against quality standards, productivity targets and deadlines Provides direction to Site Managers/ teams to ensure they know what is expected of them and delegates work appropriately Conducts effective annual staff appraisals and motivates staff to achieve goals and targets Responds to site / development issues with logic, reason and decisiveness when required Effectively plans for different sites / developments at the same time Actively involved in planning sites (e.g. at pre-tender and pre-start stages) Negotiating with sub-contractors, consultants, suppliers and clients Produces clear, accurate, well-structured and timely Board reports Skills: Reliable and Flexible Decisive High level of proficiency in various computer packages including MS Office Products - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel Self-motivated and pro-active Excellent written, verbal and listening skills Attention to detail Acts on own initiative Excellent planning and organising skills Leadership skills Excellent customer service skills The Person: You will have knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation Ability to plan and make decisions with a customer focus and business awareness. You will be passionate about managing people Ability to manage and track costs A trade background is desirable but not essential CSCS card - Site Management. First Aid qualified.
