Senior Analyst Education Intelligence Team Salary: £35,500 - £59,500 Location: Chelmsford Permanent Contract Full Time - 37 hours per week Essex County Council (ECC) is one of the largest and most dynamic local authorities in the UK and is undergoing significant transformational change to further enhance customer focus, service and delivery. The Senior Analyst will provide their Intelligence Manager with specialist, often complex, analysis on a particular area of the business. This might include activity such as demand forecasting, deep dive analyses for the Joint Strategic Needs assessment, providing high quality information that supports decision making or inspections, preparing reports for Members and leading on intelligence projects for commissioners. The role requires direct interface with a wide range of senior level customers. The role also requires leadership skills, as it will be responsible for a small team of analytical staff, ranging from bands 3-5, working on a range of areas of work including performance reporting, forecasting and needs assessments. Candidates with education early years knowledge or experience are desirable. Knowledge, skills and experience: Degree or equivalent (Masters preferred but not essential) Evidence of continuing professional development. Evidence of successfully delivering high quality, complex analysis that impacted on strategic decision making, in relevant role, preferably within local government Expert knowledge and experience of the relevant subject matter (i.e. Adults and Health, Children and families, Place and Customer, Education, Corporate) Knowledge of governance requirements around research quantitative and qualitative research methodology, the Data Protection Act, etc. Experience of leading and motivating staff, to deliver positive outcomes Evidence of having provided an analytical service to senior managers, Members and partners Knowledge of the legislative framework in which ECC operates If you have any queries in relation to this role, please contact the Essex Recruitment Team on (Apply online only) quoting job reference 4521.
