Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced, talented, dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to drive existing and future sales activities for our client based in Bedford. You will be responsible for expanding territory sales and business development activities for existing and new services. The role will encompass lead generation, customer relationship development, proposal development, contract preparation and negotiation. You will be accountable for setting territory sales and will develop territory objectives for sales operations related to sales volume, cost of sales, product profitability and competitive positioning of the company. The ability to identify and penetrate new clients and markets and develop wide pricing structures is essential. This position demands the highest calibre sales professional with excellent negotiation, presentation, relationship building and motivational skills with ideally 5 - 10 years experience. We will be looking for someone that can demonstrate strong business and process acumen beyond the responsibilities of sales coupled with strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into sales operating model. Duties will include: * Develop and implement territory sales plans, forecasts and performance goals to achieve sales objectives. * Set sales goals and forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams that are consistent with company's long-range strategic objectives. * Develops pricing strategies and sales campaigns. * Provides effective sales management including the disciplined use of sales processes and tools. * Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new services. * Implements sales programmes by developing field sales action plans. * Responsible for negotiation, selling to customer needs, motivation for sales, sales planning, building relationships, coaching, managing processes, market knowledge, developing annual sales budgets. * Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. * Ensures that the customer fulfilment process meets the needs of clients and leads to long term customer retention. * Proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams, negotiating terms and closing deals. * Make initial client contact through visits or calls * Formulate business proposals according to client’s business needs * Develop new opportunities & close existing ones * Record sales information, maintain client records/details, activity reports.
