Graduate Project Engineer My client, a leading automotive manufacturing company, is seeking a Graduate Project Engineer to join their fast growing business, within their Chassis and Powertrain Engineering Team. Graduate Project Engineer Responsibilities: • Part of the Engineering project team • Helps develop Engineering standards, technical specifications and problem resolution for his/her project. • Reliability ownership to ensure that lessons are learnt and problems are not repeated in new projects • Participates in design reviews and ensure checklist approved by the relevant Principal Engineer • Provide input to the scorecard for management information and analysis. • Supports DFMEAs in line with project milestones and helps define containment actions for High Risk Priority Number • Supports any supplier/customer sign-offs that are required • Work to and improve processes, systems and standards to ensure efficient, predictable and repeatable outcomes. • Optimise parts and designs for project ensuring BoM reuse where possible. • Responsible for the timely achievement of project deliverables • Work cross-functionally with other engineering functions incl. Homologation Engineers, Test & Development, etc. • Contribute positively to the Departmental activities and objectives. • Part of the Engineering functional support for example Purchasing department for sourcing decisions, DFM DFA Graduate Project Engineer Requirements: • Degree or suitable vocational training in either engineering or administration • Experience of administration or business process control • Knowledge of DFMEA and user experience would be advantageous • Experience of project planning • Industry experience could include automotive engineering or other transportation sectors
