Quality Manager Salary £33,000 pa to £37,000 pa + Benefits North Wales Core Hours Monday to Friday 08:00am – 16:00pm The Company This successful and well-established business has invested heavily in their modern site. Due to the voracious demand for their products, they have a position available for a Quality Manager to manage a small Quality team and oversee all Technical matters on site. The Role The jobholder will be given the necessary resources to effectively manage a team of approximately 10 team members across Technical, QC and Night Hygiene. The Manager appointed will quickly gain the respect of a long-serving team and inspire them to make improvements, focus on the customer and achieve high levels of performance, exceeding all Quality targets. The Quality Manager will play a key role in assuring product quality on site, and will add their influence to decisions affecting site productivity, efficiency, profitability and food safety. There will be a requirement to lead BRC audits and ensure all quality related matters are addressed in accordance with company policies and customer requirements. This is a customer facing role and the Quality Manager should have the confidence and technical know-how to deal with Suppliers and Customers and host Technical teams visiting the site. Other duties include: ensuring site compliance, keeping up-to-date with current and future legal requirements and being flexible and responsive in implementing regulatory changes and improvements. The Person This role may appeal to an experienced Quality Manager or a Quality Supervisor with the gravitas and knowledge to take their career to the next stage. We are interested in hearing from candidates who possess a formal Qualification such as HND/Degree in Food Science or a Food subject, combined with solid experience in managing a Quality team within a Food Manufacturing setting. Flexibility is also required as their will be a need to occasionally attend site outside of core hours. Applicants should also be able to work well as part of a small tight knit team, where they will quickly establish their authority and gain the teams respect.
