Job Description:

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join one of the leading prep schools in the King's Lynn area. Responsible for overseeing the day to day running of all financial and operational activities this role will ensure that the school’s needs are met and public relations image is enhanced. Glebe house school is an established Prep School that prides itself on its heritage and outstanding level of educational and pastoral care that it offers its students. As a member of the Senior Leadership team you will provide commercial guidance, financial experience and operational management reviewing procedures and implementing agreed policies so as to ensure the School Improvement and development plan is delivered. Key responsibilities: • Responsible for strategic planning aspects where financial implications occur in order for the school to make the best possible use of resources available and keep abreast of financial policies • Oversee the day to day running of all operation and financial activities including catering, grounds maintenance and administration • In conjunction with the Facilities Co-coordinator ensure the School's Health & Safety procedures are up to date and policies comply with legal requirements • Liaise with housekeeping and catering staff to ensure the smooth running of the departments • In conjunction with the Headmaster and HR Consultant ensure compliance with employment legislation for all staff, teaching and non-teaching. • Administering the Bursary programme with assistance from the School Finance Committee • Negotiate with suppliers and third parties to ensure best value and quality for the school • Overseeing the running and accounting records of the School Shop • Assisting the Accountant with the preparation of end year school accounts, and dealing with issues arising from the annual audit • Oversee the supervision of school vehicles, including repairs, insurance etc. Key requirements for the role: • Commercial focused with excellent communication and presentation skills • An analytical approach to work with a strong focus on numerical data and problem-solving • Negotiation skills and the ability to influence others • Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise • The potential to supervise and motivate a small team • Be prepared to undergo a full DBS and disqualification check In reward for your experience this role offers a generous basic salary and benefits relevant to experience
