Programme / Projects Benefits Manager Location - Upavon Salary £40,000 - £50,000 - depending on experience Successful candidates will be BPSS cleared before commencing employment Are you an experienced Programme/ Projects Benefits Manager, are you looking for a new role where you can add value and support the programme/change teams, reviewing change benefits and risk? About the role The operation delivered by the Recruiting Partnering Project will realise a world class recruiting service for the British Army. Key to its success will be the ability to deliver change initiatives that will enhance efficiency and productivity within the recruiting operation. The role of Benefits Manager sits within the planning team and the post holder will be required to work closely with operational and change managers to lead the identification, quantification, analysis and tracking of benefits to enable planning, prioritisation and scheduling of initiatives. The role does not currently have any direct reports. Role purpose This role would suit a candidate who has strong consultancy skills and is competent to work using their own initiative to navigate around the organisation within a large service provider environment. The successful applicant will have relevant experience of developing and delivering benefits management capability using best practice techniques and with a proven track record of stakeholder management at all levels. Since March 2012, Capita has been working with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in a partnering arrangement with the armed forces to deliver recruitment services for the Army. The project represents a major investment in the transformation for military recruiting. The contract covers the entire recruiting and selection process for both the Regular Army and the Reserve, and is helping transform the way the Army recruits its officers and soldiers. What you will do: Maintenance, development and communication of the Portfolio Benefits Management Framework; Supporting existing change initiatives with the adoption of the benefits management arrangements set out within the Benefits Management Framework; Providing best-practice Benefits Management advice and guidance to (both new and existing) change initiatives within the portfolio. This includes discussions on tailoring the application of the Benefits Management Framework for existing initiatives; Conducting benefits assurance activities at initial gate (decide), main gate (deliver) and for change and review notes as part of the business approvals process and providing appropriate inputs to the appropriate governance mechanism; Supporting the portfolio definition process by producing the required benefits inputs and summaries for the Recruiting Change Board Supporting the portfolio delivery process by producing the benefits related content for the portfolio dashboard submitted to the relevant governance mechanismYour experience will include: Relevant experience of developing and delivering benefits management capability using best practice techniques Management consultancy, project management techniques experience Familiar with best practice change governance frameworks and procedures Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office and capable of building sophisticated benefits tracking tools - including using excel for advanced modelling Exemplary attention to detail Effective communication and influencing skills Proven track record of successful stakeholder management What's in it for you?
