We are currently looking for a Hardware and Firmware Lead to provide functional leadership for the Hardware (Electrical) and Firmware disciplines and to provide resource and line management for a large engineering team. The Hardware and Firmware Lead should have the following; *Has proven experience technically managing a team of Hardware and/ or Firmware Engineers to produce Hardware Designs utilising FPGA technologies and associated VHDL code. *Has experience of Cryptographic techniques and architectures. *Has line and functional manager experience of a large team of engineers covering career development and training needs. *Has extensive knowledge of hardware and / or firmware design process tools, e.g.: Hardware: Mentor Graphics PADS, Hyperlynx Schematic Capture, Hyperlynx Signal Integrity, LTSpice Firmware: Mentor Graphics Precision, ModelSim, Xilinx ISE and VIVADO. *Has expertise in supporting bids and proposals *Represents the hardware and firmware function at formal design reviews and is able to act as a design authority. *Has had previous design experience either designing analogue and high speed digital circuits and/or conducted FPGA architectural design and VHDL development for complex multi-device designs. It is expected that the individual fulfilling this role will have experience in line management, resource management and implementing process improvements.
