We are currently seeking a Senior Product Test Manager to be responsible for the testing of products and services developed by the Company and/or its technology partners to ensure they meet the specified functional, performance, security, reliability and other requirements and are, as far as practical, free from design defects and fit for purpose. Note: this role specifically relates to testing the quality of design rather than the quality of manufacturing (for which Operations are responsible). The Senior Product Test Engineer will be part of a small team responsible for testing three product lines. The Senior Product Test Engineer should have the following; *Communications protocols, including IP *PC operating systems *Significant experience in a test role *Writing test specifications *Testing software and embedded systems *Using test, test management and reporting tools *Configuring and using IP networking equipment, including switches and routers *Testing against external standards *Working in a commercial, product-focused organisation Desirable: *Information assurance technology and applications, including cryptography *Familiarity with the markets in which Company operates *Familiarity with ISO 9001/27001 *Using network management tools *Using scripting and automation tools *Project management *Product development *Security certification of products *Writing customer-facing technical documentation *Managing a team of technical staff Qualifications: *A high-quality education, showing a high level of academic aptitude, or equivalent experience *Good English, Maths and Science/Technology grades Desirable *Degree, HND or equivalent in a technical subject *CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certified *ISEB Intermediate Level in Software Testing To arrange an interview for this position, please contact Anne Taylor at Gold Group on (Apply online only) / This advert was posted by Gold Group - one of the UK's leading niche recruitment consultancies.
