Job Description:
Agricultural Engineer Our client is a family run business operating across East Anglia and selling and servicing agricultural machinery. We now have a vacancy for an enthusiastic individual for the position of Agricultural Engineer within our established service department. Role Purpose: Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the role will be to service, maintain and repair an extensive range of agricultural equipment from leading manufacturers. Responsible for all key elements including workshop job creation, allocation of parts, time management, liaising with customers and operators, identification of failure modes and casual parts, assisting in achieving work in progress targets and general housekeeping of the workshop, vehicles and other areas of responsibility. Essential Skills/Experience: Proven experience within the agricultural industry Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults Able to work alone and on your own initiative Able to work under pressure and to customer demands, including long hours and weekend cover (rota based) Self-motivated Competent in the use of computers Maintain a good general level of health and fitness Good general appearance Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role Full clean drivers license Additional Information Start Date: Immediate, but subject to notice period Location: Cambridgeshire Hours: 39hrs per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Friday (1hr unpaid lunch). Overtime above 39hrs per week will be paid at time and a half, Sunday & Bank Holidays pays double time Salary: Depending upon experience Contract: Permanent, full time, hourly paid Benefits: Workplace Pension, 23 days annual Leave, Staff Discount in Country Stores, Service Vehicle will be provided (includes travel to and from work)
