CHIEF EXECUTIVE Location: Basingstoke Salary: £50K - £55K depending on experience 40 hours per week - but could be flexible for the right person Fixed month contract until March 2021 Please note due to the nature of the role regular weekend and evening work will be required.Our client is a new Business Improvement District (BID) for Basingstoke Town Centre and starts work on 1st April 2016. Local businesses voted in overwhelmingly in favour of setting up a BID in November 2015. The BID brings together a wide cross section of businesses from high street retailers and independent shops to world class cultural facilities and the regional offices of major corporates. The aim is make the experience of being in Basingstoke the best possible one for those that already live, work and visit the town, and also for new customers. Our Client is now seeking an exceptional candidate with wide ranging experience to manage the BID and to achieve early successes with its planned initiatives. Previous experience of a similar BID process would be beneficial with a view to taking a step up to managing and overseeing the project from start to end. Skills & Qualities required for the role: People person with an ability to network with ease and effectiveness. Financial management experience. People management Entrepreneurial style to maximise income generationThe post will involve managing a small team and working in partnership with key local stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the BID. You will need to have at least three years' experience of strategic leadership of a business, organisation or partnership and of working with businesses in a town centre environment.
