Secondsite have just registered an Exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line Support Executive to join their client based in Milton Park on a Permanent full time basis. Salary: £20,000 Hours: Monday - Thursday (9AM - 5.30PM), Friday 9AM - 4.30PM Additional Benefits: Purpose of the 2nd Line Support Executive To provide a high degree of support to the business clients. You will be responsible for inspiring confidence into clients, meeting deadlines, and be responsible for the day-to-day support requirements of the clients and the network. Main Responsibilities/Accountabilities Task areas to include: *2nd Line Telephone & Remote Access Support to Group clients *Server administration *Solving user problems /answering queries /basic user instruction *New user & application setups *Day-to-day user / systems support (printer installs, etc.) *Providing support to Group consultants *Web based 'Manufacturer Knowledge Base' investigations *Providing applications & patches *Providing in-house technical support to Office employees *Workstation troubleshooting *Training & answering queries (re: MS Office based apps.) *In-house server /network troubleshooting *Escalation of client requests (systems development & sales) to consultants/account managers *Occasional on-site support / delivery of goods to clients, site auditing & fact-finding visits Candidate Specification: *Experience with Windows Server networks;2008 & preferably 2012, with Exchange Servers, Active Directory & Group Policy *SQL knowledge would be a plus *General Experience with Windows 7 & 8 Desktop environments *Standard IP knowledge of internal & external IP address range types is expected, along with basic, subnetting & routing *Experience of dealing with the usual network peripherals, firewalls, routers etc. Cisco experience would be a plus but not essential *The ability to inspire confidence in clients and meet deadlines *Excellent written & verbal communication skills are a must Please note: Only candidates with the relevant skills and experience will be contacted regarding this position.
