Systems Administrator – Abingdon, Oxfordshire Our client is a leader in the research and development of T cell-based therapies for the treatment of cancer. The business is rapidly growing in both the UK and USA and they have multiple early-phase clinical trials ongoing in oncology centres across both the US and Europe. Based just outside Oxford, our client offers the opportunity to take part in pioneering the commercial development of T cell therapy. Systems Administrator An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Administrator to join the IT Department of a fast growing biotechnology company based in Oxfordshire. The successful applicant will support the company users with third line support for office and lab based applications, network infrastructure, Internet services and telephony for a user base of (but expanding rapidly), approximately 200 staff in the UK and USA. Education, skills and experience Good knowledge of Windows server 2012,Microsoft Hyper-V, Clustering, Active Directory, Exchange 2013 & DFS & WSUS. Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 / 2013. Proven experience of working in IT department for a small to medium sized company, ideally in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical research industry, is essential. Ability to work as part of a team, be approachable and good with people and have good communication skills. A hands on approach to the support of users in the UK - lab, office and remote & USA (East Coast) office and remote users. The ability to help the company migrate from a small / medium to corporate and grow with the company. Knowledge of the following would be a benefit:- Dell Equallogic ISCSI SAN and Windows servers. SIP telephony and Avaya IP500 phone systems. Microsoft SharePoint & SQL server. Fortinet firewalls, VPN technology, Internet technology and email / web domain management. Sophos Endpoint software.
