Job Description:

The Project Delivery Manager supports the DD Construction & Fit Out in ensuring the smooth running and management of the delivery projects as a whole and is personally accountable for ensuring overall delivery of projects to time, cost and quality and line management of internal project managers. The Project delivery G6 is responsible for: *Planning and designing the workstream and Project Management Plans; actively monitoring and reporting progress and delivery of key milestones. *Agreeing and applying appropriate governance structures and Assurance plans for the portfolio of projects. *Overseeing the allocation of finance and resources to projects. *Providing projects reporting in line with governance procedures. *Highlighting the key risks issues and dependencies that threaten delivery, proposing and initiating corrective actions, escalating concerns to the DD Construction & fit-out as appropriate. *Managing project stakeholders both internal and external consultants, contractors, suppliers and Strategic Delivery Partner. *Carry out project stage reviews and project close out reporting. *Managing the overall closure of the projects, and effective handover to users and of outstanding responsibilities, risks and issues to appropriate business owners. Essential Experience/skills required - *Previous knowledge, practical experience of/or proven track record of a key role working on large change projects/programmes. *Leading project management teams and the delivery of large modern office buildings including contract management. *Experience in delivering £30m+ projects and programmes through the end to end project lifecycle. *Experienced in managing developer led projects either as a client user, employers agent or directly for a developer. *Managing effective governance controls in a complex business and IT environment *Leading a multidisciplinary programme team and building strong relationships across team/business area/ departmental/ boundaries *Forming effective relationships with senior/high influence stakeholders, for example; customer groups /policy makers /IT suppliers/ executive committees or boards. *Demonstrable track record of success at senior level in Construction Management or Project Management capacity in a consultancy or client organisation. *Highly commercial with experience of enhancing and delivering value and continuous improvement. *Detailed understanding of construction contracts and consultant agreements and the contractual environment of large construction projects. *Thorough understanding of project cost management methods and delivery of comprehensive reporting to senior management boards. *Clear understanding of construction H&S legislative requirements and ability to promote high standards. *Thorough knowledge of construction designs, materials, technologies or processes and able to assess a variety of options and propose viable solutions. *Excellent IT skills proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word and Powerpoint and experience of using project collaboration tools. *Proficient in preparing and presenting project progress and close out reports. *Captures lessons learnt during project stages *Creates the environment for highly engaged teams and collaborative working capable of managing change and delivering at pace. *Demonstrates authority and credibility with senior teams and other stakeholders and effectively promotes desired project outcomes.
