Company Fusion Limited is working with a well established Nursery dedicated to providing the highest quality care of children with programs specifically designed for Infants, Toddlers and Pre-School. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join their busy team in St Albans. Deputy Floor Manager - Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Deputising for the Nursery Manager and supporting in the day to day running of the nursery - Co-ordinating the staff team on a daily basis and supporting them to provide the highest quality in care and education for the children in the nursery. - You will likely be an important point of contact for parents enquiring at the nursery. - You will act as a role model for the junior staff demonstrating exemplary knowledge of the EYFS and leading the way in establishing best standards for interacting with children and parents. - Coach and develop junior members of staff helping them to achieve a state of continual professional development. - You will be responsible for ensuring the nursery environment is safe, secure and nurturing for children at all times. - You will champion all policies and procedures within the nursery and where relevant bring any potential improvements to the attention of the higher management team. - You will assist your team in providing high quality care, activities and learning experiences for all babies and children within the nursery. The Person - Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience: - You will have a Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare - You will have experience in a similar level of responsibility - You will be confident in leading and developing a strong and close knit team - You will have excellent knowledge of the EYFS - A level 4/5 qualification in early years or management or a willingness to train towards would be highly desirable - You will have a wealth of experience dealing with children of all ages and working across all rooms - You will have a calm and sensible approach; remaining level headed when dealing with any potential problems The Package - What You Could Earn: - Basic salary negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
