COMMERCIAL MANAGER - COMPETETIVE SALARY / BENEFITS A market leader in military flight training solutions and a trusted partner of the MOD require a Commercial Manager As a commercial Manager you will work within a multi-disciplinary team managing the introduction and delivery of flying training . The role will involve close relations with customers and suppliers and require interaction with senior levels of management . You will provide commercial support and advice on all aspects relating to the delivery and operation of aircraft , ground based training equipment and simulators , infrastructure , Information Communications Technology ( ICT ) , courseware development and the training management information system . Responsibilities : + Maintaining the commercial performance of the company through the provision of expert advice and commercial management + Management of major subcontractors providing Equipment and facilities to the company to perform the training output , ensuring compliance with contractual obligations . + Adherence to and , where appropriate , input into or development of ; commercial policy + Identification of commercial risks and issues the subsequent mitigation and management + Negotiating contracts amendments with both the MOD and Subcontractors + Commercial reporting and representation at Customer Contract performance reviews + Drafting legal and commercial letters and contractual documentation Skills / Knowledge : + Extensive commercial experience , ideally within the UK defence or aerospace industry + Thorough knowledge of different types of commercial / contract models , and their use + Preferably a good understanding of PPP / PFI and / or MOD contract terms and conditions + Sound understanding of legislation / legal principles + Working knowledge of export control and ITAR regulations + Relevant degree; professional qualification or appropriate equivalent experience + Strong oral and written communicator + Highly motivated team player with an ability to influence + Good knowledge of the tools and techniques for managing contracts
