Estimating Manager - Gloucester

The Role

You will manage our successful Estimating Service based in Gloucester to provide great customer service, meet business objectives and targets within budget. On a day to day basis you would review, schedule and coordinate estimates through the team from design stage plans and ensure the data is transferred electronically through to a customer quotation. This service is provided to the self-builder, and small to medium sized builders through our department and branch network.

The Responsibilities

*Motivate and manage staff within the estimating team to ensuring all members of the team understand the importance of their contribution towards achieving the department's objectives.
*Maintain quality of output, checking estimates produced meet both materials and design requirements
*In association with IT. and other departments develop the estimating system to maintain a best in class service. Making sure all estimates are compliant with all regulations and codes of practice.
*In conjunction with the Technical Services Manager produce monthly report on performance of the department, along with individual estimator's outputs within the department.
*Provide an efficient and effective service to customers and branches calling the estimating team for general information or specific enquiries.

The Requirements

*Ideally you will have construction experience
*Experience with Construction materials and architectural drawings
*Proven track record of managing, motivating and developing a great team.
*Estimating experience.
